英語版『「播磨国風土記」の古代史』完成のお知らせ
このたび、播磨国風土記の最新研究書『「播磨国風土記」の古代史』（2021年／兵庫県立歴史博物館ひょうご歴史研究室編、坂江渉監修、神戸新聞総合出版センター発行）が英訳されました。
ひょうご歴史研究室の研究員や、兵庫県立考古博物館の学芸員を含む17名、38篇の論文が収録されており、英国出身でニュージーランド在住の日本文学研究者エドウィーナ・パーマー博士が翻訳されています。
「播磨国風土記」が、古代ギリシャなど、世界の口承文芸と同じくらい知られるようになることを期待します。

The latest research book on Harima no kuni fudoki– “Records of the Local Customs of Harima Province”, Ancient Japan through Harima no Kuni Fudoki (2021 / edited by The Historical Institute of Hyogo Prefecture, Hyogo Prefectural Museum of History, editor-in-Chief Wataru Sakae, published by the Kobe Shimbun General Publishing Center), has been translated into English.
The book contains 38 individual articles by 17 people, including curators from the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Archaeology, and was translated by Dr. Edwina Palmer,a British-born scholar of Japanese literature in New Zealand.
Harima no kuni fudoki has become better known in the world at large, and we look forward to a time when Harima no kuni fudoki might be considered on a par with Greek mythology.
